Upcoming fixture

Sunday 30th May:

Peregrines 2.02   Na Fianna 2.04

Yet ANOTHER comeback...........Na Fianna found themselves 2 goals down after 15 minutes and it was looking like a big defeat. But the girls kept fighting and pulled back 2 points before half time. They battled hard and with 7 minutes left to go were 5 points down. They never gave up and pulled it back to 1 point and with the last kick of the game scored a brilliant goal to win by 2. This resulted in very excited players, parents and mentors who celebrated a very unlikely win!! Great to see such brilliant fighting spirit in this team! Well done to all.

Wednesday 26th May:

Cuala 2.04      Na Fianna 2.09

A very tired Na Fianna team took on Cuala in Cuala on Wednesday night. In the first half the girls did well but Cuala got 2 goals before half time to take a 1 point lead. As in previous games the girls dug deep in the second half to win by 5. Yet another strong finish from Na Fianna. This puts them in 2nd place. Well done to all.

Kilkee:

The team had a fantastic weekend in Kilkee. Considering the heat and tiredness the girls did very well against the West Clare Gaels under 14 team. Once again Na Fianna finished the stronger team and were only beaten by 2 points in the end. West Clare Gaels laid on a bbq, bouncing castle and medals for all, which was greatly appreciated. The weekend was spent on the beach, playing rounders, eating chips and lots of dvd's! Thanks to all the parents who helped out over the weekend!

Photos to follow.

Upcoming fixture - Wednesday 26th May:

Na Fianna v Cuala in Cuala at 7 p.m.

Leaving the club at 5.30 sharp.

21 - 23 May:

The team are off to Kilkee this weekend for some fun and football! Thanks to the O Donoghue's for the kind offer of their house for the weekend and to Pauline O Neill and Donal O Donoghue for organising it. They will play West Clare Gaels on Saturday and will no doubt make the club proud.

Sunday 16th May:

Na Fianna 2.06   Dubhgall 1.05

The girls had a great win over Dubhgall in Baldoyle on Sunday evening. All players gave it everything and managed to keep Dubhgall scoreless in the second half. Full credit to all the girls on a great team effort!
